" I'm Going Green"

Genesis Chapter 1

I’m Going Green!
In recent years people have become increasingly concerned and passionate about saving the environment. Tirelessly, the subject of caring for our environment is being pushed to the forefront of our consciousness on a daily basis.
Consequently, everywhere we turn there is a message encouraging us to become environmentally friendly? So we find ourselves doing everything from recycling aluminum cans to planting trees in the back yard all to create a more eco-friendly environment.

While some might see this as a good thing there are some who feel it is nothing more than a scientific waste of time. On the contrary, I believe the concept of creating an environmentally friendly atmosphere was first developed in the mind of God. The Book of Genesis records, that God created man's environment before he created man. He created the heavens and the earth, the moon and the stars, water, and vegetation for his nourishment. And when he was done he called it good. He called it good because it was an atmosphere where man could commune with God, live in peace and enjoy life. It was a place he could dream, love and exercise his creativity. Most of all it was a place free of pollutants.

It is hard for some us to imagine living in an environment free of pollutants. Sadly, it has been years since some of us have been able to enjoy a breath of fresh air. This is not due to smoke factories, or gas guzzling automobiles; rather it is because our spiritual and emotional environment has become totally toxic. Unhealthy relationships, unfruitful conversations, ungodly connections, and un-forgiveness have left a hole in our oh-zone.

The “oh” zone” the place where we were excited about God and our future, the place where his presence left us breathless, and the place where we dared to dream about obtaining the impossible.

Now, prisoners of our own environment we have lost all hope for bigger and better. If this sound like the place where you live can I tell you it’s time to go green. It is time to reclaim, restore, and regain your place in the presence of God.

It’s time you rid yourself of everything and everybody that is not environmentally friendly. Everything which stunts your growth needs to go. Unhealthy appetites, polluted thought life, toxic relationships and litterbugs. Litterbugs can be defined as those who constantly dump on you. They are people who never have anything good to say. Come on, shout it, text it, tweet it, tell the world I’m going green!

Welcome to My Blog

I decided to create this Blog after talking with a friend and spending time with some of the most talented women I have ever had the opportunity to meet in one place. The most encouraging thing was the authentic support I received from these women. They inspired me to put my love of writing to use as I prepare to author my first book. Because this Blog was birthed out of encouragement it is my goal to write articles which will inspire, encourage and thrust you into a deeper place with God. I look forward to our time together and sincerely pray you will be blessed.
