Ephesians 3:20
Every Believer in Christ possess what I like to call unchained potential. It is described as a person's ability to go far beyond ones own inabilities; to go as far as one desires to go in God. Paul writes in Ephesians Chapter 3 "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. The power working in us is the power of God. This is the source from which the believer taps into his/her unchained potential. The Psalmist declares "What is man that thou art so mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou has made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crown him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet…Ralph Waldo Emerson picks it up some years later and writes "Oh man! There is no planet sun or star could hold you, if you but knew what you are.
Sounds great doesn't it? Only thing most believer's (as sad as it is) are living beneath their God-given potential. In truth many have no clue that they have this kind of potential. This is why so many Christians lead defeated lives. They choose to believe the lies of the devil instead of the Word of God. The lies of the enemy are sometimes difficult to recognize. This is because they are disguised and come in many different forms. It may have been an educator who said you lacked potential to succeed in college, or a verbally abusive parent whose words broke your spirit. It may have even been a leader in your church who told you your past sins were too great to overcome. Whatever the lie is you can no longer allow it to keep you from reaching your full potential in God. The Body of Christ needs you and the world is depending on it.
Your potential is what the enemy fears most. This is why he constantly tries to keep you from becoming the person God always intended for you to become. This pattern can be seen throughout the scriptures. Moses had to be hidden along the Nile because he would later become a great deliverer to his people. David fled for his life when King Saul became threatened by his potential after he defeated Goliath. And Mary and Joseph had to flee into Egypt with the baby Jesus because of what he would ultimately do for a dying and lost world.
My friend the attack on your potential is nothing new; the people of God have always posed a threat to the enemy and his evil plan. You must begin recognizing that you are "potentially dangerous". This quote by Martha Grimes sums it up beautifully. We don't know who we are until we see what we can do".
Potentially Dangerous,

Welcome to My Blog
I decided to create this Blog after talking with a friend and spending time with some of the most talented women I have ever had the opportunity to meet in one place. The most encouraging thing was the authentic support I received from these women. They inspired me to put my love of writing to use as I prepare to author my first book. Because this Blog was birthed out of encouragement it is my goal to write articles which will inspire, encourage and thrust you into a deeper place with God. I look forward to our time together and sincerely pray you will be blessed.
